Cisco’s Restaurant Bakery Austin Texas

Cisco’s Restaurant Bakery is a local Austin favourite and one of Jane’s and James’. Cisco’s serves Mexican Food and is open all day and is a good spot for breakfast

Street Art

One of the first things I noticed about Cisco’s is the street art. Lot’s of interesting additions to the mural.

Cisco’s

Cisco’s, which opened in 1946, is not exactly a fine dining restaurant, but if the food is a good as it smelt when we entered, the eclectic decor adds to the experience.

Everywhere you look there is another picture, piece of memorabilia or a photo of a famous patron

The Food

As a starter we were served with Corn Chips and the house Salsa, needed a bit of spice, thankfully there was hot sauce.

Migas

Jane’s breakfast choice was the Migas. Tortilla chips fried with onions and tomatoes, scrambled in eggs & melted cheese, with sausage and beans, with ranchero sauce on the side. Jane added a side of bacon.

Wolf Omelet

The Wolf Omelet was James’ choice. Ground beef, bacon, sausage, cheese, jalapeno onions and tomato

Enjoyed this, definitely a big serve, everything is bigger in Texas, including the biscuits.

Cisco’s Restaurant Bakery

Cisco’s is one of those places that only a local would know and a tourist would skip, big mistake. It is a unique place to eat with great food. Check it out the next time you are in Austin Texas.
